'Container Depot Manager' was written to improve the management of containers in a refer yard. Based on 'Drag and Drop' technologies it allows managers to 'move' containers creating a movement list that is then undertaken by reach stackers etc.

Visual display is graphical with the movement list generated in a web page. Simple touch screen technology allows yard operators to do the movements and indicate movements completed (also includes a check on plugin for refer containers).

Status shows management at what point a container is, in the full cycle, from unloading, to cleaning, stacking and reloading. This information can also be given to customers and so allow much greated visibility and so greatly improved resource management.

Full history of each time a container visits the yard is available together with the full history of movements during the period the was in the yard.

It allows simplified input of new containers into the system recording the vessel and the 'call', voyage and date information, where the container was from and its destination. This information can be added by the shipper using datasheet imports. Load lists are also generated allowing a vessel to know what containers and their cargo are being collected.

Gate receipts and signout sheets can be generated together with arrivals by truck. The Truck information is recorded and held in the history.
